James M. Slominski, Attorney


JAMES SLOMINSKI is a registered patent attorney. His practice at The Hecker Law Group focuses on litigation in patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.

Mr. Slominski has extensive litigation experience in both state and federal courts, including many jury trials taken to verdict, as well as mediations, arbitrations, and administrative agency proceedings such as the International Trade Commission. He also has extensive experience in tort litigation, including products liability, wrongful death, and general civil litigation.

Prior to practicing law, Mr. Slominski was a Senior Engineer at General Dynamics Corporation in advanced aerospace structures and weapons systems.

Mr. Slominski holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with Honors from the University of Nebraska, a Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering from San Diego State University, and a Juris Doctor degree from Arizona State University.

He is admitted to practice before the State Bars of California (1993), Florida (1993), and Massachusetts (1994). He is also admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (1995), the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (2006), the United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit (1998), and the United States District Courts for the Southern, Central, and Northern Districts of California.
